Scholarships

Northern Piedmont Community Foundation manages the scholarship application process for dozens of scholarships for students in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, and Rappahannock counties (as well as a handful serving students from surrounding counties too).

How To Apply

Almost all of our scholarships may be applied for online using a universal application. After creating an account and completing the application, you’ll be shown a list of scholarships for which you are eligible. That’s it!

Please note that as part of the universal application you will be asked to upload the Student Aid Report (SAR). The SAR is produced and sent to your family once your family has completed and submitted the FAFSA. If you did not apply for FAFSA, you may upload the first two pages of your families tax return (1040) - the most recent available to you.

When you go online to apply, the universal application is the first choice you are given. Stand-alone applications are named and listed by the name of the scholarship. Each scholarship, on our list of scholarship opportunities below on this web page, will be marked with “UA” – meaning Universal Application. A few of our scholarship applications are handled by Germanna Community College, Laurel Ridge Community College, and the Fauquier County Sheriff’s department. The student is asked to apply directly to that entity. That direction is noted on the scholarship opportunities list detailed below. Madison County Public High School Students are asked to fill out the common app at Madison High School instead of our Universal Application.
